A Church On Fire For Jesus Christ
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
We want to thank you for visiting our web site. We at First Assembly realize that God has given us an awesome responsibility, but what a privilege it is to be a vessel that God can use in building His Kingdom. We are a body of believers that love to worship Almighty God, giving Him the honor and glory that He deserves. Our vision is to bring an awareness of the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.
We are a full gospel church believing the power of the Holy Spirit will enable us to carry out the great commission. It is our desire to build a strong New Testament Church with our doors open to all. We desire to touch our community with a heart toward every level of society. We are also a mission minded church supporting numerous missionaries all over the world. We also desire to train men and women, children and youth to be active in their faith by demonstrating their beliefs in their daily lives. Our mission is to provide a positive, practical, presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, reaching our community with a message of salvation, restoration and healing, and touching all kinds of people with love, acceptance, and forgiveness.
"God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good." This statement was made by song writer and praise leader Don Moen in his song, "God is Good." What a true statement that is and what an awesome God we serve! The best part is we can each say, He is "My God." We can have a personal relationship with our Lord. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He sent His Son, the supreme sacrifice, to die for our sins and give us eternal life, and not just any life, but an abundant life. Through this relationship with Jesus Christ, we can see and experience the godness of God each and every day of our lives. We can sense the awesome presence and the mighty power of God as we walk with Him.
We at First Assembly pray that you have this kind of relationship with the Lord. If you do not, then call upon Him today. Romans 3:23 states, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Since we were all born into sin, we have need of a Savior. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Because of the sin in our lives, there was a debt that had to be paid. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) Jesus paid that debt for us because of His love for you and I. He did His part and now it is up to the individual to obey the Spirit of God when He speaks to their heart. "Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). Paul wrote in Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness ; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." I pray that if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior that you will listen to that voice that is speaking to your heart and obey it. You cannot cleanse yourself, it takes the blood of Jesus to do that. Once you have chosen Him, you can live a victorious and abundant life. At that time you will come to know the real meaning of love, peace and joy. "But as many as receive him, to them have he power to become the sons of God, even them that believe on His name (John 1:12).
